OSU Extension’s Weather Extremes Committee and State Climate Office of Ohio Present: Climate Smart – Farming with Weather Extremes Conference.
The event will take place on Thursday, November 30, 2023, from 8:30a-3:30p at Der Dutchman in Plain City (445 Jefferson Ave, Plain City, OH 43064).

Weather is almost always a challenge for agriculture, from a lack of or too much rain, late season freeze conditions, and severe weather impacts. Each year brings on a set of conditions that necessitates having good management strategies for dealing with water, weeds, pests, and diseases, all while making the economics work out as well.
This year’s conference will bring together The Ohio State University (OSU) and Central State University (CSU) specialists, NRCS, and experts in a number of areas to discuss the interactions between weather, climate, and agriculture (see below).
