A Buried Bond: The Connection Between Healthy Soil and Healthy Communities
The North Central Climate Collaborative will host Brenda Hoppe, environmental epidemiologist, climate resilience researcher and proud descendent of Wisconsin dairy farmers. In her discussion she will 1) summarize the state of knowledge around the soil health-human health nexus, 2) describe the advantages of public health for soil science research and stewardship, 3) center consideration of farmers and ag-based economies, and 4) highlight opportunities for advancing cross-disciplinary research, public awareness campaigns, and climate resilience actions to save our soils and fortify public health.
The event is on Monday, April 24th at 2pm ET (1pm CT).
