Aaron Wilson Honored with NACAA’s Agricultural Weather and Climate Achievement Award
Last month, Ohio's State Climatologist, Aaron Wilson, received the Achievement Award from the National Association of County Agricultural Agents (NACAA), a professional organization for Extension professionals. This award is voted on by peers and recognizes excellence in the field of professional Extension for members with less than ten years of service.
Wilson was recognized for his role in exploring the nexus between weather, climate, climate change, and variability, particularly in their impacts on agricultural production and natural resources.
Wilson is an Assistant Professor-Ag Weather and Climate Field Specialist with the Department of Extension in the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences at The Ohio State University. He is also the Ohio lead investigator for the North Central Climate Collaborative and a principal investigator at the Byrd Polar and Climate Research Center.
